Improper Fraction Games
How Can I Turn Games Into Improper Fraction Games?
You can turn any regular fraction game into an improper fraction game with just a few changes. For example, if you want your students to play improper fraction bingo, put improper fractions in each bingo square. Call out the mixed number equivalent of each improper fraction during the game.
You could also make an improper fraction memory game. Write an improper fraction on one card and the mixed number on another card. Kids play by spreading out the cards face down and turning over two at a time. If they get a match, they get to keep the cards. The kid with the most cards at the end wins.
