CoolMath4Kids.com Games and Lessons

These math games and lessons for elementary school students provide help with the full range of math topics learned from ages 3-12. A connected site specializes in math from pre-algebra and up. These pages are designed with black backgrounds and brightly colored words and images to draw the interest of kids.

The games are interactive and use Flash player, so you may need to update your computer's Flash software before the games will work. Themes used in the games include outer space, animals and knights in armor. Lessons use simple, short text explanations and large graphic demonstrations to teach math concepts.

12-Week Math Program from KidsNumbers.com

Interactive math games and detailed lessons at KidsNumbers.com can help your child master foundational math skills. This website was developed by teachers and features resources for students in all grades. You can treat these lessons as a 12-week program and have your child complete each section in order, or you can jump around, using the site to review trouble areas.

Each topic, such as addition or multiplication, is divided into two parts. For example, the first part of the addition section, called Adding Foundations, teaches the concept and offers exercises meant to help your son memorize certain basic ideas. The second part is for practice and has games to help him master the topic through speed and repetition. A worksheet generator allows you to print out practice questions.

Aplusmath.com's Free Interactive Math Help

Your child can test her homework answers with the homework helper from Aplusmath.com. She can type in the equation and her answer, and the site will let her know if she is correct. The site does not complete equations for your child, it simply lets her know whether she has done the math right. Free worksheets, games and flashcards are also available. The flashcards can be timed or untimed, allowing your child to increase the difficulty of the exercises as skills improve.
