Taks Math Problems
How Can My Child Practice TAKS Math Problems?
The TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) test is given to Texas schoolchildren beginning in third grade every spring. Depending on their grade level, students take assorted tests in reading, math, writing, science and social studies, but students take the math portion at all grade levels. You can find out exactly which math skills will be tested on the TAKS by reviewing the Texas math standards, which are called TEKS.
If your child needs to practice specific math skills, he or she can complete the math activities listed at Internet4Classrooms or some of the free worksheets at Math Drills. For extra instruction, your child can also complete some of the free math lessons and practice problems at AAA Math.
Once your child has reviewed math skills, he or she can take practice math TAKS tests, which are available from the Texas Education Agency or state representative Scott Hochberg.
