Student Help
Student help can be found many places and for a variety of subjects. Students can find help locally through the library, after school programs and community centers. These programs are usually run by teaching professionals or older students who have already mastered the material children struggle with. Tutors can also offer help both locally and via the Internet. Tutors, both in-person and online, work with a student's knowledge base in order to build off of it. Tutors can offer the extra one-on-one attention and different teaching methods that may help a student learn the skills in a way that makes sense to them. Online tutors offer students the one-on-one attention using headphones, a microphone and an electronic pen and pad to participate in live tutoring sessions. Perhaps most importantly, however, student help can come from parents who assist them with their assignments and do all they can to create a positive home learning environment. Playing a proactive role in a child's education may make all the difference.
