Interactive Games Reading

What Are Two Interactive Games For Reading?

Learning games can enhance any subject for many students. Although it's probably not possible to include game play in every reading lesson, you may want to consider incorporating some interactive games for reading into some of your lessons. When you do, you may notice that students become very motivated to read.

  • Play a version of charades that practices reading comprehension. Write out a fairly detailed description of how students should act on a set of cards. When students pick a card, they have to read the description before acting out their part.
  • Host a quiz show for a book that all of your students have read. Write several comprehension questions and divide students into teams. The team that answers the most questions correctly wins.
