How Do I Teach My Child Multiplication
How Do I Teach My Child Multiplication at Home?
Teaching a child multiplication at home can be accelerated through the use of multiplication flashcards. Flashcards for multiplication can be purchased at any teacher's supply store or big box store. They can also be made at home on 72 index cards or recycled paper. The following will assist you in making your own flashcards:
The 3x5 index cards should have an equation on one side and the answer to each equation on the reverse side. Make sure the card is not see-through. Start with zero multiplied by zero, then by one, two and so forth, all the way up to twelve. After you have created a flashcard for each, then move onto ones and repeat the same procedure, starting with one multiplied by zero, then one, two and so forth.
