Doing Math Problems
What Materials Do I Need When Doing Math Problems?
When you're doing most math problems, you will need certain materials every time. Make sure you always have the following items on hand so you can complete math problems as efficiently as possible.
- You need lots of lined or graph paper. Use graph paper if you're doing math problems in geometry or graphing. Keeping the paper in a notebook will help you be more organized.
- You should have your math textbook. Even if you're completing problems off a worksheet you can use the examples in the textbook to help you solve difficult problems.
- You need several sharpened pencils with erasers. Never do math homework with a pen because you can't erase mistakes. Sharp pencils make it easier to read your work.
- If you're allowed to use a calculator, you should have a calculator. Using a calculator can help you work more quickly and accurately.
