Basic Math
Basic math may seem easy to adults, but for a child, these concepts can seem foreign and become difficult to master. Basic math begins in the first grade with counting and simple addition skills and ends when children learn the basics of pre-algebra. These basics are necessary for higher math as well as for classes in college or trade school later on in life. However, mastering these skills can be difficult and children may benefit from the help that a parent or tutor can offer. Parents can find helpful educational math websites that deal with specific math skills, such as www.aaamath.com and www.aplusmath.com.
