Addition Games for Kids
What Are Three Addition Games For Kids?
Playing addition games is a fun way for kids to memorize addition facts. You can incorporate the following addition games for kids into your classroom.
- Play addition bingo. Make addition bingo cards on your word processor. Put problems into each square and call out answers.
- Make an addition memory game. Write an addition problem on a note card and the answer on another card. After making cards for all the addition facts, the game is ready. Students play by spreading out the cards face down and turning over two at a time. If they have a match, they get to keep the cards. If not, they have to turn them over and try to remember the location. The student with the most cards at the end wins.
- Play addition catch. Put your students in a circle and give them one ball. Say an addition problem and throw the ball to another student. That student has to give the answer, say another addition problem and throw the ball to someone else.
